The Fox and Hounds is a charming, traditional public house under the new ownership of experienced chef Dan Chapman. Located in the hamlet of Comford it is perfectly placed between Redruth and Falmouth. The pub offers a great menu, sourcing Cornish ingredients and the bar offers local ales from St Austell brewery and a varied wine list.
Open seven days a week and offering food day and night, the Fox and Hounds is a great location whatever the weather. Be it a cosy drink on a stormy Cornish night or a sunny afternoon pint in the beer garden. Roaring, wood-burning log fires and slate flooring offer the perfect setting to enjoy a wintery day indoors. When the sun comes out the flowering baskets and luscious green grass in the beer garden will make your summer’s day even better.
We are a child friendly pub, with baby changing facilities so it’s a great place to stop off with the family after enjoying the local activities and days out. With the pubs name being what it is, all well behaved dogs are welcome but it’s asked that they be kept on a lead.

About Us
A LITTLE BIT ABOUT THE FOX & HOUNDS
We really are proud of our pub, it’s lovely original features sympathetically enhanced with country pub décor, considering it’s 300-year-old heritage. Surrounded by extensive well-kept gardens and ample parking, you truly can relax with a local drink and locally sourced food.
We welcome families, serving a children’s menu and have highchairs for our youngest of guests. Combining our beer garden with Scoops@The Fox and Hounds, our very own ice cream parlour serving locally made Roskilly’s Ice-cream.
Being the Fox and Hounds all dogs are welcome, taking dog friendly to the next level with their own menu so your four-legged companions can dine with you. Our Front of House team love the cuddles too! Dog beers, wines, ice creams and treats also available. Along with 2 ‘Dog bar’ water stations in our extensive beer gardens. We just ask you keep them on a lead for the comfort of all our guests.
We hold regular events including a quiz night and live music sessions.

The Fox & Hounds takes great pride in the food it offers using local Cornish suppliers wherever possible.
Our menu features some great pub classics and regularly changing specials together with our dedicated Children's Menu. Sundays feature a carvery too with delicious roasts and fresh veg - everyone's favourite. There's even a Dog Menu for your furry friends.
Meals are also served in our restaurant and bar areas and in the garden with a new undercover seated area. What could be better than to enjoy a relaxed meal with friends or family under the Cornish sun with a chilled wine or local ale.
We are very proud to be positively mentioned in the Good Pub Guide and get great reviews online too.
Our Head chef Brian Cocks has cooked in Cornwall for over 20 years and moved to the area several years ago. He spent the enforced lock down enhancing our menu and is really excited for you to try some of the brilliant dishes he has created.
